In this workshop, we will continue our discussion of Rilke’s “Letters to a Young Poet,” focusing on his understanding of love and friendship, paying particular attention to letter seven. Since love and friendship, for Rilke, are connected to solitude and creativity, we will be touching on themes from our last workshop. Even though this is the second of two workshops on Rilke, this workshop can treated as an separate unit.
